Good job with this image]. Just letting you know I was Misplaced Pages:Bold and trimmed your padding a bit to improve layout on Copyright Term Extension Act

- I technically put it there, but really you just replaced someone else's work. I just did the raster-to-vector and replaced every instance of the image with the svg. --Clorox (diskussion) 18:44, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

"eq" removed from two-letter words
I see you've removed "eq" from the list of two-letter English words, with the argument that Q must be followed by U. Perhaps you would like to take a look at our list of English words containing Q not followed by U. I have restored "eq" for now; if you have a different reason for contending its inclusion in the list, you can remove it again. —Bkell (talk) 03:24, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Uncyclopedia talk page
I removed your request for people to post to your Uncyclopedia talk page instead of here. Talk pages are an important part of the Misplaced Pages project. Discussions about Misplaced Pages should be included in the Misplaced Pages project, not in the Uncyclopedia project. —Bkell (talk) 03:27, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Grand Parkway non-freeway sections
I didn't recall exactly where the freeway ends (and the last time I was on it, the Westpark Tollway hadn't been extended that far), so I just referenced the entire segment, which does indeed run all the way from 59 to I-10. Hence "most of the segment". --Mr Wednesday 04:37, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Striking your vote
Hello Clorox,
Thank you for your interest in the Wikimedia Board Election. The Election Committee regretfully informs you that your previous vote was received in error and will be struck according to the election rules, described below.
The Election Committee regretfully announces today that we will have to remove approximately 220 votes submitted. These votes were cast by people not entitled to vote. The election rules state that users must have at least 400 edits by June 1 to be eligible to vote.
The voter lists we sent to Software in the Public Interest (our third party election partner) initially were wrong, and one of your account was eventually included to our initial list. There was a bug in the edit counting program and the sent list contained every account with 201 or more edits, instead of 400 or more edits. So large numbers of people were qualified according to the software who shouldn't be. The bug has been fixed and an amended list was sent to SPI already.
Our first (and wrong) list contains 80,458 accounts as qualified. The proper number of qualified voters in the SPI list is now 52,750. As of the morning of July 4 (UTC), there are 2,773 unique voters and 220 people, including you, have voted who are not qualified based upon this identified error.
In accordance with voting regulations the Election Committee will strike those approximately 220 votes due to lack of voting eligibility. The list of struck votes is available at https://wikimedia.spi-inc.org/index.php/List_of_struck_votes.
We are aware of the possibility that some of the people affected may have other accounts with more than 400 edits, and hence may still be eligible to vote. We encourage you to consider voting again from another account, if you have one. If you have no other account eligible to vote, we hope you reach the criteria in the next Election, and expect to see your participation to the future Elections.
Your comments, questions or messages to the Committee would be appreciated, you can make them at m:Talk:Board elections/2007/en. Other language versions are available at m:Translation requests/Eleccom mail, 07-05.
Again, we would like to deeply apologize for any inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Kizu Naoko

MLCAK Road
Hi there. I threw an HTML comment into the Interstate 10 exit list explaining that the spelling MLCAK is correct. I maintain an exit database at work and ran into that once before; thinking it was misspelled, I changed our spelling and was corrected. -- Gridlock Joe (talk) 01:32, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. I fixed this a long time ago, and was surprised to see it reverted, to explain my edit summary in the history. --Clorox (diskussion) 23:56, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of shibboleths
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of shibboleths. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Misplaced Pages:Notability and "What Misplaced Pages is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/List of shibboleths. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:03, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
English /r/
Hey Clorox,
/r/ isn't necessarily a trill in English, though it is in a few dialects. But it's the conventional transcription of however we pronounce r. Please see WP:IPA for English, which the pronunciations link to. kwami (talk) 23:20, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- But it's entirely wrong to use /r/ to symbolize /ɹ/ and call it IPA. It might not necessarily be a trill in English, but it is necessarily a trill in IPA. It may be "conventional" by someone's standards, but it is completely incorrect and should not be done, by my standpoint. --Clorox (diskussion) 00:44, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Kim Il-sung
Hello, and thank you for removing vandalism from Kim Il-sung. This is much appreciated, but unfortunately your repair was not successful in restoring the article to its pre-vandalised state. For future reference, it is better to deal with vandalism by checking the article's page history to determine how it appeared before it was vandalised. You can then restore the whole article, or the relevant part of it, to an appropriate earlier version. If you simply delete the visible vandalism then any content removed or overwritten by the vandal is lost. See How to deal with vandalism for details. Thank you. (Opps! I've done the same thing. In this case the vandal also added an editorial paragraph. It has been reverted.) Happy editing. --S. Rich (talk) 15:43, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- I actually did look at the page history - I didn't notice that! Oops :D --Clorox (diskussion) 23:52, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages Help Survey
Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Misplaced Pages's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.
Thank you for your time,

Your edit to Misandry was brilliant. It looks like it will end a long and ugly editorial dispute on the page. Sometimes, something so simple can work so well... Ebikeguy (talk) 15:50, 24 August 2012 (UTC) |
- BAHAHAHA
- I actually never read the talk page. I just saw the article and noticed it listed a separate antonym and opposite. Which seemed kinda weird. And the second one didn't seem quite like an opposite. --Clorox (diskussion) 17:16, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Thai tone chart
Hey, congratulations for the Thai tone chart. I think there is a mistake though. First tone mark with low class consonant renders a falling tone, whether long or short vowel. It has been confusing me since I started learning Thai. Many Thais nowadays pronounce the word ค่ะ with a low tone (or make it so short it becomes a half tone only), but in fact it should be a falling tone. Note that this is a rare combination, the other word I can think of in this group would be แซ่บ, where a clear falling tone is pronounced. If anyone can bring more light to this question please do so. I think it should say "falling" instead of "high". This video explains it with more detail (in Thai) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dde7EIsZk9c (00:35)
Sorry I'm not active on wiki editing, I hope this is the right place to post this.

Template:/æ/ tensing in North American English
Hello, Clorox. I just wanted to inform you that the color-scheme, as you call it, that you have instated to the aforementioned template has been reverted because some readers may find it more of a distraction than anything else, myself as one of them. The customary convention for online material is use no more than three colors. However, at the same time, I recognize your efforts as good faith. Thank you.LakeKayak (talk) 20:03, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. It seems you reverted another edit of mine as well—was this an accident? --Clorox (talk) 21:01, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
That wasn't an accident. I found the edit made the table a little harder to read. I still see your intentions as good faith, and this revert was rather minor.LakeKayak (talk) 23:23, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
