Wisin & Yandel are a duo of reggaeton artists from Cayey, Puerto Rico. Some of their hits includes "Mayor Que Yo", "Noche de Sexo" featuring Aventura, "Rakata", "Llame Pa' Verte (Bailando Sexy)", "La Gitana" and "Pam Pam". Wisin & Yandel were also featured on R. Kelly's album, TP-3: Reloaded, on Track #14, "Burn it Up".

Biography

Wisin, also known as W (Doble U) or El Sobreviviente (The Survivor) was born Juan Luis Morera on September 13, 1978 while Yandel (occasionally known as Y (I Griega) was born Llandel Veguilla Malavé on January 14,1977.

In 1998, Wisin & Yandel got in the spanish rap genre (also known as reggaeton), recording for DJ Dicky's No Fear 3 under the Fresh Production label. In 1999, that same label signed them up and in that same year, they appeared in La Misión, Vol. 1, reaching gold status. The reception was so good that the label produced their first solo album in 2000 titled Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio. Before that, Yandel was working as a barber while Wisin already had some musical projects in mind.

Their latest album, an addition to the album "Pa'l Mundo", Wisin & Yandel came out with "Pa'l Mundo Deluxe Edition" in May of 2006, adding a second cd to Pa'l Mundo with 8 new tracks.

Additionally, in 2005 they established their own record label, WY Records (Doble U-Y Records). They are known throughout Puerto Rico as El Duo Dinámico or El Duo De La Historia
