Hey Luis. Your article on Devdariani is excellent. George told me about him. I'll soon start an article about Niko Nikoladze but unfortunately I could not find sufficient info about Geno Adamia (may him rest in peace). I'm delighted by Lang's book. I found many facts totally unknown to me especially those related to the 1905 revolution and the extent of destruction by the Russian punitive forces. I've also never heard before about the Russian Patriotic League led by two fanatic clerics who organized attacks on Jews and Georgians. Thanks a lot for providing such a great book. Well, Luis. I have not read Suny cover to cover. Judging from the chapters I’ve looked through, he seems to be not always impartial but I still think he is a good scholar. Some Georgians accuse him of having pro-Armenian bias on a number of controversial issues because Suny is American-Armenian. On the other hand, as far as I know Armenians don’t like Suny for some of his works. |
As for the UN resolution, I think it’s a failure. I don’t know why the West is so reluctant to overtly support Georgia and why Saakashvili is hesitating to withdraw from the CIS which is so despised in Georgia? We’re supposed to have severe winter due to blockade, but I’m against any concessions to Moscow. --] 17:28, 16 October 2006 (UTC) |

:Hello Ldingley :-) I have questions about the images that you have uploaded to Misplaced Pages. For example, you have tagged images as being from your collection. "Copyright©2004 Luis Dingley Source: Dingley Image Collection" with this tag. {{CopyrightedFreeUseProvidedThat|credit is given and copyright is attributed.}} and the statement "This photo is from my collection and transfering it to Misplaced Pages." Where did you find these images that you put in your collection and then transfered to Misplaced Pages? |

::I'm sorry but I have a problem with the ] for your image problems. Several of the images that have been removed did not come off a reputable site, such as Getty Images, but were taken from people's homepages hosted in out of the way places like tripod or geocities. One of the people who contacted us about the copyright violation was able to photograph his original photographs and send those over - his images were put on the web in 2005, more than a year before you uploaded them here. So I'm at a loss. I would like to be able to work this out, but we seem to have seriously conflicting stories. |

:::One example is ] and ]. The first image you claimed the source as trekearth.com and the second identical image you claimed was from your personal collection. The image, in fact, comes from http://svanetitour.tripod.com/ and has been on the web since 2005 at that location. Some of the other images I deleted came from news agencies, which you also claimed as being "in your collection". Third, that particular map may have been copied from a book (I'll have more details as soon as I verify my source is correct) and does not appear to have any connection with a Dr. Andrew Anderson. I'm sure I'll find more examples as I continue to review your contributions. {{unsigned|Shell Kinney}} |

::::So now your claim is that you were friends with the copyright owner of the above referenced photograph of children? Can you explain why you attributed it to the wrong photographer in one upload and in another failed to attribute anyone and claimed you owned the copyright? I have sent an email back to Mr. Jobava in the hopes that he can straighten this out one way or the other about that particular image and one other of his that you also uploaded. Please take some time to review our image upload procedures and image tagging policies. It is very important when you release work already published on the internet or elsewhere that you provide a clear statement of license to permissions at wikimedia dot org - we appreciate the addition of new images, but still have to take complaints of copyright violation very seriously. |

::::Another important Misplaced Pages policy is to try to avoid personal attacks and being incivil to others. The edit summary "I smell a rat" is a euphemism - it means that something about the situation seems odd or doesn't sound right - this was not me calling you a rat. Also, I did not intentionally leave an unsigned note on your talk page, as you can see, I copied the note 3 places since you are carrying on the discourse in multiple locations.
