Any discussion about the show should go on the show's Talk page, not on users' talk pages. Writing Across Curriculum edits

Hi @Jim1138:, Yes, I deleted the first paragraph of ultimate section of WAC article titled "criticism" because, if you read it, you will see it does not constitute criticism at all but support for the approach.

You might also notice that this entry *about writing* is written abominably. Laughably bad. If I knew how to flag it as "below standard" for a more thorough revision, I would. I am not familiar with how to do this, nor do I know whether I am authorized (to flag). My professional opinion is that this article is beyond revision and needs to be rewritten but I am not volunteering, especially not when folks like yourself seem concerned with content for the sake of content, rather than quality or accuracy.

Without an wp:edit summary, it's hard to know what your thinking was. Please add an edit summary especially when deleting sources - giving your reasoning for their deletion. I have no specific problem with its removal, but I and others would like to know why. Perhaps that one paragraph that should not have been in the criticism be moved to another section? Akola city

Hello Jim,

I see you reviewed the change I made to Akola city page on Misplaced Pages and deleted the additions I made since I did not include the citation. Thank you for your review, but I would like to mention that the additions made were true and factual.

1. Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Agricultural University, Akola (PDKV) runs many Graduation and Post Graduation colleges. I had mentioned the ones which are situated in the city area. This can be checked by referring to university site - https://www.pdkv.ac.in/ This is a Government university and runs government colleges in the city. To get the whole list of colleges run by University, please refer : https://www.pdkv.ac.in/?page_id=141 Please note that I had mentioned only 5 of these colleges which are situated in the Akola city area.

2. Other addition I had made is of Post Graduate Veterinary College in Akola. It can be verified by College site - http://www.pgivasakola.in and also at University Page: http://www.mafsu.in/Constituent_Collage_Mafsu.aspx

Request to please restore the deleted additions to the Akola city Misplaced Pages page. Please let me know if you need any more details.

The text which I removed was poorly attributed, moreover, nowhere in the cited source did the original author of Ramayana, Valmiki , refer to an instance which I removed. I was removing misleading information -  if I have 3 children in 1980 and another in 1990 when I die in 2000 I will have had 4 children in total. The current statement was correct only in the 1970s not 2018. Mr Farah actually had 3 wives and 8 children in total, however, rather than attempting to prove this by citation I removed the inaccurate info.

Royal Bahraini Air Force

Thank you for your message. I edited the page as it was out of date, to write about what the Bahrain Air Force intends to purchase is out of date as it has now decided to purchase 16 F-16v.

Further more, the page also writes about what attack helicopter Bahrain intends to purchase, it has decided to purchase the AH-1Z now, and so this information was also out of date.

In changing the page back it is now out of date and you have only made the page worse. I also placed in references to the sales deals so people could clearly see the proof of the sales.

Question?

Jim, I've been a fan on Wiki but your recent comment to me put me off. On the Color Palate were colors WITH NO CITATIONS you made a comment to me. The University of Tennessee's color was already there and the color was wrong. There were already these school's colors there. LOOK AT MY CITATION, you couldn't get any better. Citations keep everyone honest, right? I want FACTS when I come to Wiki or it is useless.

Back in 1993 in an Information Services graduate class, the librarians were giddy about this new thing called the Internet. I called out into an abyss that if so, "who would know what the truth was?" Books take a small fortune to produce (more so back then), a web page...NOTHING.

Everyone here should be guardians of Truth and call out all the BS (that is worse with this platform being open, but I understand the reasons).

I grew up and helped built this Internet with Cisco routers and switches.

Be careful with the Newbies and take in all sides and realize that for some things: 'who cares?'

@CPAugustin3: Thanks for pointing that out. I removed them. They are pretty much unsourced anyway. If they are unsourced, how do you know if they are correct? Even then... I am really disappointed in the approach of just tear it down/remove it! These schools actually have unique and valid colors. Why not just put up the Pantone colors as they have and forget about it? It's because no one will understand. Is Misplaced Pages trying to be understandable and responsible still? NO, I call foul. @CPAugustin3: You are giving up already? The data is in the wp:page history, it's not gone. Take the number of schools and companies, multiply by the number of colors and you probably get a number in the hundred of thousands. Limit them? Who decides? Same with companies. Please start a "List of school colors" and "List of company colors". Perhaps a "list of country colors", state colors, military colors, nonprofit colors, etc. Please go into the page history and extract the school colors and start an article. Maybe the article should be titled list of common / basic / public domain colors instead. If you think they should be on the list of colors, please go to the talk page, start a wp:RfC and make a suggestion. Please keep the discussion under one header.
