- Add more inline citations. (Especially to Reasons for atheism.)
- Clean up link farm in External links section: there should be no more than 10–15 links listed.
- Expand "Atheism and religion", "Atheism and morality", "Demographics" sections to about 3 prose paragraphs in length.
- Consider rewriting "Atheist organizations and gatherings" from scratch, as prose paragraphs rather than a set of lists.
- Discuss whether or not to add an "Atheism and knowledge/faith" section (probably not).
- Work on improving daughter articles like History of atheism, Discrimination against atheists, Demographics of atheism.
