The Wild Beasts are a new age pop band origanally from Kendal but now based in Leeds

History

The band began life in Kendal in January 2004 as a three piece and quickly moved into their first practice stuido at Mintsfeet Industrial Estate. In June 2004 Garry Bullock entered the band as bassist and they began recording their first EP titled 'Fauvre' (Latin for Wild Beasts). Garry Bullock left the band in March 2005 due to work issues.

In September 2005 the band relocated to Leeds and Tom Flemming joined as bassist. They soon gained a following within the city and recorded their second EP titled 'espirit de corps'.

The band signed for Bad Sneakers Records in August 2006 and are due to release their first single 'Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants' on 20th November 2006.
