This song was the first single released commercially for the compilation; however, this song was not so successful on the charts due its stronger dance-club background, but was a smash hit on the dance charts, becoming another Top Ten hit for GEstefan at the Hot Dance Club Play chart. It is her last appearance on the Hot 100 to date.
Due it success at the dance charts, the song was nominated to several dance awards: such as a Grammy Award for "Best Dance Recording" but lost to the Janet Jackson hit, "All for You." The song was also nominated for two International Latin Billboard Music Awards for "Latin Dance Club Play Track of the Year" and "Latin Dance Maxi-Single of the Year," however Estefan did not win either award.
