Picture of the day Colias croceus Colias croceus, also known as the clouded yellow, is a small butterfly of the family Pieridae, the yellows and whites. Its breeding range is North Africa and southern Europe and eastwards through Turkey into the Middle East, but it occurs throughout much of Europe as a summer migrant, sometimes as far north as Scandinavia. In Asia, its range extends into central Siberia in the north and barely into India in the south, although it is not found in Central Asia. The species can live in any open area in the countryside, including downland, coastal cliffs and fields containing the caterpillar's host plants, at an elevation up to 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above sea level. Colias croceus has a wingspan of 46–54 millimetres (1.8–2.1 in), with the upperside of its wing being golden to orange yellow with a broad black margin on all four wings and a black spot near the centre forewing. This mating pair was photographed in Pirin National Park, Bulgaria.Photograph credit: Charles J. Sharp ArchiveMore featured pictures...
Tip of the moment...
Finding stubs and making them grow

A stub is an article that provides at least a basic definition but does not go much beyond it. It may not be the perfect article yet, but each stub should have the potential to become one. See Misplaced Pages:Find or fix a stub for ways to locate stubs. For example, click what links here on that same page, or on Template:Stub (the stub notice).

Still not enough stubs? Then try Misplaced Pages:Requests for page expansion, or set the threshold for stub display in your user Preferences. That option sets a number of characters threshold value. Links to articles with fewer characters are shown in dark red. This makes it very easy to spot stubs. If the stub notice is a generic notice consider sorting the stub into a stub category.

Most of my work is copy and grammar editing as I go reading through articles. I have created two so far, listed here:

My latest project was cross referencing List of notable alumni of Berklee College of Music with Category:Berklee College of Music alumni including a change of the category name and update of all linked articles. I also recently created Category:Berklee College of Music faculty.

You can also look at Malber's Contributions for what I'm working on currently. I RC Patrol new pages where I do clean-up WP:MOS formatting, stub sort, and nominate for speedy deletion or WP:PROD the nonsense.

I have made over 3000 edits since registering my username. My 1000th edit is rather inauspicious. My 2000th edit is merely the posting of the {{Idw-pui}} template on a user's talk page. I have no clue what my 3000th edit is. Edit counts are fatal.

I've created a template for RfA noms to address the issues of WP:IAR and WP:SNOW. Please feel free to use my template {{subst:User:Malber/rfaq|YOURUSERNAME|NEXTNUMBER}}. The first modifier should be your username. The second should be the next number in the order of questions. Be sure to subst it or the nominee won't know how to edit the answer. If you find this useful, please leave me a message on talk.

If I've removed your unsourced tidbit of information, here's why: Jimbo on citing sources.
