Novara Media is a news website based in the United Kingdom.
Novara was founded in June 2011 by James Butler and Aaron Bastani (then Aaron Peters), initially as an hour-long radio show on Resonance FM before expanding into written content and videos. Other contributors include Ash Sarkar and Shon Faye. The company's office and studio, home to a number of senior editors and a core team of 15 volunteers, is based in Peckham, south London.
A breakthrough for Novara took place with a July 2015 interview with Jeremy Corbyn, then the bookies' favourite for leadership of the Labour Party. The interview hit 60,000 views that week.
In October 2017, Novara Media joined The Media Fund, a cooperative organisation which aims to help digital platforms counteract an 'old media system'.
