Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Thousand Oaks shooting: you may already know about them, but you might find Misplaced Pages:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Gaia Octavia Agrippa 15:31, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, KidAd. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Important notices

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Misplaced Pages's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.  Bishonen | talk 10:43, 28 November 2018 (UTC).

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement topic ban

The following topic ban now applies to you:

You have been topic banned from post-1932 American policics for three months.

You have been sanctioned for persistent disruptive editing and edit warring. When I wrote in my warning here that you need to discuss on talkpages, I didn't mean that lying about sources on talkpages, as you do here, was an acceptable way of supporting edit warring on the article.

This topic ban is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/American politics 2#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. Please go to WP:TBAN and read the information there to see what a topic ban is. If you do not comply with the topic ban, you may be blocked for an extended period, to enforce the ban.

If you wish to appeal against the ban, please check out the process described here, or ask on my talk page and I will explain how to do it. Bishonen | talk 04:33, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

You have as far as I can see been banned from all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, broadly construed. Yet you just now edited on the page of Danielle Pletka. You should self-revert. Snooganssnoogans (talk) 15:55, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
that’s pretty sneaky, my guy. But the article subject isn’t a politician as far as I can see. She’s a writer. KidAd (talk) 16:25, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
She's a senior official at the conservative think tank the AEI, and used to be a senior aide in the Senate foreign relations committee and Jesse Helms's top foreign policy aide. The content in question that you removed relates to her appearing on a Sunday morning talk show (i.e. the main US politics talk shows) to dispute a report released by the US government. Self-revert.
