I welcome your interest in contributing to Wikiepdia, but I think you went a bit overboard with your edits to Brisbane. You appear to have removed a mass of material including citations, and replaced it with somewhat speculative ] like "Brisbane is an economic and cultural powerhouse of the Asia-Pacific" which (as much as I love our fair city) seems to overstate the current situation somewhat and is supported by which does not describe Brisbane as being an economic and cultural powerhouse of Asia. It discusses the new cruise terminal to be built in the future and talks about a State Government report that recommends Brisbane ''become'' a "mid-sized Asia Pacific hub that is a leader in defining and refining a new Asia Pacific culture and identity". This is what we call ] (speculating about future events). It says nothing about the economy and says "defining and refining a new Asia Pacific culture and identity" which is pretty much waffle. Can I suggest you go to ] and discuss what you are trying to achieve and get some consensus and advice on how to do it. Alhough I have removed your changes, they are not lost as all versions of the article are saved. You can find them . ] (]) 05:53, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
:I am not sure if you intended it, but you also removed a lot of the history content. See for the differences. ] (]) 05:57, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

::So it was one sentence that you objected to? You could have just deleted that segment or reworded it rather than deleting all my hard work. Also I was the one who instated the current montage, are you going to revert that to and go back to this? ]
:::If that had been the only thing that concerned me, I would have fixed that one sentence. I am not trying to stop you contributing, but there were just too number of things that need further discussion, e.g. deleting a large chunk of history without explanation being another one, adding a lot of material without citation. I did not delete all your hard work, it is all available ; it just isn't visible to the reader at this time. But, as I say, this is not the place to discuss the article. That place is ] as other people may be interested in expressing a view on the article's development. Whether you believe it or not, I am trying to help you. But equally I have a duty to the reader to ensure what they see is accurate and verifiable as per Misplaced Pages's policies. ] (]) 04:43, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

Again, you're really going overboard with Brisbane. Other people live here too and can contribute. I updated the montage last night to photos that are post 2015 of Brisbane (where the skyline has not changed), as your previous montage had images before 2014 which is not exactly a 'modern montage' especially in regards to the header pic with the Story Bridge. I suggest if you want to make a montage that works, find updated, nice 2018 images. I first edited the original montage because I thought that it needed a facelift, and the new montage I prepared does that! We want to show off the best parts of Brisbane, and the Gasworks is definitely less of an icon than the Botanic Gardens or the Shrine of Remembrance. The image I have made is not bad in quality at all, and I have no idea what you're talking about. It's certainly better than your outdated version. ](]) 01:13, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

::::Hi MrGeneric, I sent you a message on your talk page and am definitely willing to work with you! However the image you used as the header for the Brisbane CBD is extremely poor quality, it looks terrible, and the other images you've used can barely be seen; ie, Brisbane City Hall is lit up for Christmas, South Bank is barely visible, and the Shrine of Remembrance although a great city heritage site is insignificant compared to the ones in Sydney and Melbourne, so the Gasworks in my view is a unique city heritage structure. I know that the current CBD image dates from 2014 but the only tower that is missing from that shot would be Brisbane Skytower, which is still under construction, so it would just be a big crane in the middle. Most other images of the CBD are rather unflattering, especially the one you used. --] (]) 01:21, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

I seriously don't see how it's poor quality, you mustn't have a very good screen. If people wish to see more of the photo, they can simply click on the image, revealing a much larger version which is very easy to view. The montage is designed to showcase a few photos of the city here and there, it's not supposed to show each individual aspect in a large billboard. As for your montage, 100% of the images used are despicable, I understand they "do the job" but they arent the best to showcase Bris. In regards to the CBD image, it's missing more than the Skytower, as 1 William St is missing as well as the new tower on Alice St. Also, glad to see you're a mature person, despite leaving a message on your talk page regarding this, you've reported me. Well, don't worry, I've done it right back. ] (]) 01:32, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

::::::My montage makes the city … look like a city, whereas yours makes it look like a town on the Darling ranges. 1 William St is missing? Is it? Have you seen my montage?
]

]

]

I fail to agree with you on that one. A 'town' doesn't have several apartments lining the banks of a major river, nor does it have a large, famous bridge like the Story Bridge. Yours makes Brisbane look plain, and we want to show off what Brisbane has got. Also, 1 William St is missing from the Story Bridge photo. ] (]) 02:11, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

:::::::You can't see 1 William st from that angle, it would be hidden by Riparian, I know this because I've seen updated images with Skytower in it from the same angle, which is also why I ended up using 1 William st in my montage. Your CBD photo is extremely blurry and poor quality, and the Story Bridge in it is tiny.--] (]) 02:19, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

==The ]==
Just to explain the process as I realise you are new and I am not trying to take advantage of this fact. You were quite within your rights to be "bold" and make those changes. But equally if someone else (me in this case) think them unacceptable, they are within their right to "revert" the changes. We are then to discuss the matter on article's talk page, joined by anyone else interested in the development of the article in order to establish consensus within the framework of Misplaced Pages's guidelines. ] (]) 06:15, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

== Brisbane copycat(?) ==

Hi. Contrary to your claim, I did not add the term "cultural capital" to the Melbourne page. And although Melbourne is called the cultural capital far more often than say Brisbane (you are welcome to Google search "Melbourne is known as the cultural capital" vs "Brisbane is known as the cultural capital" and count the results), I do not care about its removal the page. Also you're not a socket puppet account, are you? Not throwing accusations around, just asking. - ] (]) 15:13, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
:No you're right the term is just arbitrary in nature and shouldn't be used, thanks--] (]) 15:24, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

] I advise you to calm down. In the last period you are doing a lot of confusion in the article of Brisbane. If you do not stop, your account will be blocked as new user with minimal contributions who causes conflicts. ] (] / en-2) 13:55, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
:I'm the only one here who is calm, I had a montage as the main, someone decided they would put up their own and thus I took it to the talk page to see who wants what montage, however no one voted and then the other guys montage was deleted on copyright grounds. And even then I've still not returned my own montage, still waiting for people to vote. Instead you just decide to take down Kerry Raymonds temporary montage in favour of something else.--] (]) 14:27, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
::At best I would suggest that as you are a European Union member, you should not act as an imperial overlord on other countries.--] (]) 14:29, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

:::No, you changed collage in 8 September 2018 (your first edit?!?), later other user also change collage. Confusion arose. I reverted collage to version of 7 August 2018‎ before change by MrGeneric3319 . I wrote about it . This collage has been functioning for months. Until there is a consensus for new graphics, this collage remains unchanged! By the way, yes - I am an EU citizen and I have the right to edit any article, your comment is ]. ] (] / en-2) 15:13, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
:And your message is not a personal attack? You're threatening to block me because I tried reaching a consensus on the talk page? Please calm down.--] (]) 15:15, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
::I not threatening to block you because you tried reaching a consensus on the talk page, this is nonsense and lie. You received an official warning because you are switching back the changes in article of Brisbane. While you writing about the nationality of other users and use terms of "''imperial overlord''", this is clear a personal attack. ] (] / en-2) 15:20, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
:Then perhaps you should look up the definition of an overlord--] (]) 15:23, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
::very funny. Seriously: you can not write about the nationality of another user. ] (] / en-2) 15:27, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
:European Union is not a nationality. I'm not sure why you keep attacking me here? If you have a problem with my reversion on the Brisbane article, then you should realise I reverted your edit back to Kerry Raymonds edit, not my own, which I am still waiting for consensus there to install my own montage. So you coming on here attacking me is unhelpful and unnecessary, thanks.--] (]) 15:30, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

September 2018

Information icon Hello, I'm Newslinger. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Jordan Belfort, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Brisbane: personal attacks, edit warring, pushing own version

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Misplaced Pages. Subtropical-man (talk / en-2) 17:44, 8 December 2018 (UTC)

MrGeneric299 please refer to the Brisbane talk page regarding any issues you may have of the Brisbane City montage, it is clearly not vandalism--Caltraser55 (talk) 23:11, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
Stop icon I'm Subtropical-man, not MrGeneric299. This is next personal attack from you. Request by user Kerry Raymond do not help. Also, reminding of Misplaced Pages rules - for example: Misplaced Pages:Consensus. Sorry, but one support by one user (Inkfoot) is not consensus. One person said the opinion and you immediately made changes, it does not work like that. Very many request do not help. Your new account is created only for push own photomontage to article of Brisbane and other controversial editions. In addition, vandalisms - for example: removes posts by other users (two times), removes data (-17,156‎ b) and sources from article without consensus (two times), personal attacks (four times), edit-warring (very many times). Discussion on your user talk page (you received a few requests and warnings by few users), requests and warnings in description of changes and requests and warnings in Talk:Brisbane do not help (also warning, as last warning!!!). You are reported, time for consequences. Subtropical-man (talk / en-2) 00:51, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
Arent you pushing an agenda here? Why do you not want my montage up so badly?--Caltraser55 (talk) 02:12, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
@Subtropical-man: Can you please respond on the Brisbane talk page so we can work out a montage?--Caltraser55 (talk) 10:48, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
