==== Why don't you close the 3RR case? ====

I think you are well aware that 4 of the 6 cited examples are direct links to "France 3"'s material and the other two (2) are instructions on how to get the illegally distributed copyrighted material? Can you just close this case? If not, I will bring it up to the copyright people.

*You were specifically told above NOT to comment about this issue on my talk page. I think it is best for all involved if you never comment on my talk page again, as it seems from my perspective that you cannot behave with civility and a kind demeanor towards me. Thank you. ] 05:49, 12 November 2006 (UTC).
**Numerous policies point out that we should comment on one another's talk page. Talk pages are not supposed to be places where we gain sympathy for ourselves, but to discuss issues. Accusing someone of a 3RR, particularly with your six examples, is pretty uncivil. Look at the six examples you cited. ] 05:50, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
***I am making a personal request that you no longer comment on my talk page, and only comment in related discussions on the talk pages of related articles. If you feel a need to comment on my talk page, it is best that you instead talk with an administrator, because it seems that you cannot comport yourself in a civil and kind manner with me. My apologies. Yours, ] 05:59, 12 November 2006 (UTC).
**** Can you cite any example that I am in bad faith if I decline your request? I think I am terse with you, but fair. I also think this 3RR is the most egregious abuse of policy yet with four of them being direct links to "France 3"s copyrighted material. ] 06:01, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
*****I respect your opinion with regard to the 3RR, but you have my argument on the various pages. I am not an expert in Misplaced Pages Policy. However, '''I am making a personal request''' that you cease commenting on my talk page. I think it is for the best for all involved. I do not want to debate you on this. This is simply my own personal request, whatever the policies may be on this. Please respect my wishes. ] 06:06, 12 November 2006 (UTC).

Misplaced Pages policy on linking to copyrighted works

http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Copyrights#Linking_to_copyrighted_works

Linking to copyrighted works

External sites can possibly violate copyright. Linking to copyrighted works is usually not a problem, as long as you have made a reasonable effort to determine that the page in question is not violating someone else's copyright. If it is, please do not link to the page. Knowingly and intentionally directing others to a site that violates copyright has been considered a form of contributory infringement in the United States (Intellectual Reserve v. Utah Lighthouse Ministry). Also, linking to a page that illegally distributes someone else's work sheds a bad light on us. If the site in question is making fair use of the material, linking is fine.

Articles regarding ongoing enterprises

2) The principles of editing articles about ongoing enterprises are analogous to those which govern Misplaced Pages:Biographies of living persons. As applied to this matter, unsourced or poorly sourced negative material may be removed without discussion, such removal being an exception to the 3 revert rule Misplaced Pages:Biographies_of_living_persons#Remove_unsourced_criticism. This extension of policy is based on the proposition that any unsourced or poorly sourced negative material is potentially harmful.
