Erik Bornman, LL.B, BComm (b. 1976) is a former consultant and founding partner of Pilothouse Public Affairs. Prior to this Erik Bornman worked as a political organizer for Prime Minister Paul Martin and was an assistant to David Anderson, a Liberal cabinet minister. Erik Bornman was also President of the Young Liberals of Canada (British Columbia). His political involvement began in high school and continued throughout his university years. Erik Bornman holds a B.Comm. degree from the University of Victoria and an LL.B. from University of British Columbia.

Bornman currently resides in Toronto, Canada.

Young Liberals

Erik Bornman was a prominent member of the University of Victoria Young Liberals. It was at that time that he first was elected President of the Young Liberals of Canada (BC). As a President of the Young Liberals, Erik Bornman helped build that organization into a strong voice within the Liberal Party of Canada for friends and allies of then leadership contender Paul Martin. It was during this time that Martin was making inroads into British Columbia preparing for the retirement of Jean Chrétien by building a strong organization, led by Mark Marissen. Erik Bornman helped sign up new young Liberals during this period.

Political Consultant

Erik Bornman also worked as the director of communications for the Council of Forest Industries and Canada Payphone Corporation.

Youth Group Community Service

Erik Bornman has been active in variety of youth organizations, the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps., and the Youth Matters! Society of BC.
