- A request for comment seeking to alleviate pressures on the request an account (ACC) process proposes either raising the account creation limit for extended confirmed editors or granting the account creator permission on request to new ACC tool users.
- In a related matter, the account throttle has been restored to six creations per day as the mitigation activity completed.
- The scope of CSD criterion G8 has been tightened such that the only redirects that it now applies to are those which target non-existent pages.
- The scope of CSD criterion G14 has been expanded slightly to include orphan "Foo (disambiguation)" redirects that target pages that are not disambiguation pages or pages that perform a disambiguation-like function (such as set index articles or lists).
- A request for comment seeks to determine whether Misplaced Pages:Office actions should be a policy page or an information page.
- The Wikimedia Foundation's Community health initiative plans to design and build a new user reporting system to make it easier for people experiencing harassment and other forms of abuse to provide accurate information to the appropriate channel for action to be taken. Community feedback is invited.
- In February 2019, the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) changed its office actions policy to include temporary and project-specific bans. The WMF exercised this new ability for the first time on the English Misplaced Pages on 10 June 2019 to temporarily ban and desysop Fram. This action has resulted in significant community discussion, a request for arbitration (permalink), and, either directly or indirectly, the resignations of numerous administrators and functionaries. The WMF Board of Trustees is aware of the situation, and discussions continue on a statement and a way forward. The Arbitration Committee has sent an open letter to the WMF Board.

Changes later this week

Discussion on WP:ROUTINE
Greetings, I started a RFC at Misplaced Pages talk:Notability (people) that concerns an issue you mentioned at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Wink Hartman. I do not know how to mass send notification to others involved, or if it is necessary, but I did mention the AFD and you might have interest. I am also notifying @Cbl62:, @DGG:, and @Paulmcdonald:, not because of any !votes but as admins likely to close, and opinions concerning inclusion or exclusion, at the location. If I have made any errors please feel free to correct them or whatever action might be necessary for the discussion. Otr500 (talk) 19:30, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

WP:NCTV dispute tag
I just noticed your edit to WP:NCTV. What exactly is that based on? I can't recall any dispute discussion on this matter on the page. The last proposed change was by me if I'm not mistaken. --Gonnym (talk) 21:13, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
- It's based on Misplaced Pages talk:Naming conventions (television)/Archive 15#Additional disambiguation. As written, NCTV appears to mandate Winterfell (Game of Thrones) rather than Winterfell (Game of Thrones episode) since the location of Winterfell doesn't have its own article (despite being a primary redirect), but a consensus of people have agreed that it is nonsensical in this case, and so the guideline should be changed to reflect reality. If you have a suggested wording I'm all ears, and we can restart that conversation. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 02:07, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
