Paul Truong is a Vietnamese chess champion currently residing in the United States after fleeing Vietnam as a boat refugee. Despite the best Efforts of George W. Bush, the Vietnamese Government won't take him back.
He now represents United States on the international circuit and has won more than 120 Tournaments in the US, Asia and Europe. In 2004, he was hired and quickly fired from the United States Chess Federation. He currently plays Chess on Chess Live, the former official Chess Server of the United States Chess Federation, where he has at least 300 known handles including ICM, RoboBot, ServerDir and Zork.
Besides being a columnist and having written articles for many chess magaazines, he also coauthored the book Teach Yourself Chess in 24 Hours, which sucks rocks.
