Speedy deletion nomination of International Brain Tumor Alliance
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on International Brain Tumor Alliance requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Pyrusca (talk) 20:31, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Recommends against see also sections. Also not sure why you removed the reference? All those timelines could either go in a navbox or simply on the article in question. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:38, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- That sounds like a fine idea, to make a navbox? Let me know if you want to start a special page and we can work on it together. Twillisjr (talk) 22:40, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Blue Nile University. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Thanks Zackmann08, I appreciate the edit/repair! Twillisjr (talk) 18:23, 18 November 2016 (UTC)

The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/List of Donald Trump news and television appearances until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Proposed deletion of List of internet service providers in Paraguay
The article List of internet service providers in Paraguay has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- WP:NOTDIR, WP:NOTLINKFARM. None of the companies listed are notable
While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ajf773 (talk) 08:59, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 16
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Care Bears, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page No Heart (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:18, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
Survey Invite
I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
Your survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9S3JByWf57fXEkR?Q_DL=56np5HpEZWkMlr7_9S3JByWf57fXEkR_MLRP_blKAA33ufafIAND&Q_CHL=gl
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Misplaced Pages that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 20:59, 9 April 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Cesare Balbo (disambiguation)
A tag has been placed on Cesare Balbo (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Misplaced Pages page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
- disambiguates no (zero) extant Misplaced Pages pages, regardless of its title.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Could you please explain...
You changed the article on Mathew_L._Golsteyn so it described the man he killed as an enemy combatant.
Isn't he merely someone Golsteyn suspected was an enemy? He wasn't captured on the battlefield. He was named by an informant. Golsteyn trusted his informant. Is that sufficient to call him an enemy?
Further, what is an "enemy combatant"? Doesn't our article on the term say it was used by the Bush administration, and retired by the Obama administration? Geo Swan (talk) 01:28, 18 May 2019 (UTC)
The reader must be able to distinguish a combat zone from Guantanamo bay. The article should demonstrate a US troop deployed in a theatre environment acted upon the named with deadly force. Twillisjr (talk) 01:42, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, Twillisjr. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Misplaced Pages, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Misplaced Pages's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See WP:PAID. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:49, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
Paid editing inquiry
Hello Twillisjr. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Misplaced Pages's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Misplaced Pages to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Misplaced Pages is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Twillisjr. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Twillisjr|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Template:Z159
You have not responded to an earlier COI inquiry by another user and your upload of commons:File:Steven Hassan at Ralph J . Bunche Library is At State Department September 11th 2017 Beth Lampron State Department Official.jpg as "own work" brings the reasonable question of your relationship with the subject. If you have any COI with the subject, even if non-paid, you should disclose it. Best practice would be to suggest edits on the talk page and allow other editors to implement them after discussion. Thank your attention to this matter Jbh 15:29, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
I am not being paid for my edits. Twillisjr (talk) 15:38, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. Do you have any other conflict of interest with Steven Hassan or any other subject? The "own credit" photo is something that could be considered a strong indication of such a COI. Also, per WP:PAID, it does not apply strictly being "paid for your edits" any compensation which can in any way be associated with your editing counts. For instance if one is in public relations and has a general image management contract and one independently decided a bio needs work. That is still something which would be considered paid editing for Misplaced Pages purposes. (this is an example not an accusation) Thank you for your understanding. Jbh 06:44, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
The most recent edit was factual and had an organization website to support the remark. You once reverted the remark and I added the source for you. Please revert. Twillisjr (talk) 17:13, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
- That is not relevant to the question I asked. Matters relating to articles should be discussed on the article's talk page to keep discussion in one place. The various notice boards are also appropriate so long as a neutrally worded link is left on the talk page. Jbh 19:11, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
Notice about Arbcom placed sanctions in topic area you are editing
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Misplaced Pages's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
