Please choose your next step very carefully in this edit dispute or you will violate ]. I removed them because there is no consensus to include the stat. Review ], ], ], among many others all Hall of fame quarterbacks with pages pretty well monitored. If you would like to change this post to ] before reverting again. Revert again and the next post here will be a 3 revert rule warning.--<span style="background-color:blue; color:red;">'''Rockchalk'''</span>]] 01:03, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
:I have created a post on the Talk page to discuss the issue. In the mean time, there is no reason to remove valuable information that has existed for years simply because you don't like it. And do not threaten me for disagreeing with you. ] (]) 05:11, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
::It is critical you understand my reverts are not because I disagree with you or that I’m singling you out and I apologize if my actions show that. I do disagree but that’s not why I’m reverting you. I’m simply reverting because there is consensus to include this and the majority of quarterback articles do not include a win/loss record in the statistics, including other greats who have won a multitude of greats that won a lot of games such as Joe Montana. I have responded to the NFL project talk page providing why you actually posted there and providing my personal option on the issue. Now we wait--<span style="background-color:blue; color:red;">'''Rockchalk'''</span>]] 06:40, 28 September 2019 (UTC) --<span style="background-color:blue; color:red;">'''Rockchalk'''</span>]] 06:40, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
:::Win-Loss record as a starter is not exactly a team statistic though. In 2016, the ] went 14-2 as a team but ] went 11-1 as a starter. That is an important distinction. Yes, the team plays a role in this statistic, but the team plays a role in every statistic. Do we exclude passing yards/passing touchdowns because a quarterback has an exceptional offensive line or talented receivers? Obviously not. Do you really believe that someone who is interested in learning about a quarterback would not be interested in knowing how many Wins/Losses they had as a starter? They would not be able to find that information by referencing the team's page.
:::And to your point, the pages of ], ], ], ], and ] all include Win-Loss records as a starter (or at least they did until you removed them), so you cannot truthfully say there is a consensus here to not include them on the player's page. Many players have them and have had them for years, and it is especially important when players have records in that category such as ]. It is not enough to simply say that he is the winningest quarterback in NFL history in his lede - readers should be able to see exactly how often he won and they should not need to reference the team's page which will incorrectly include numbers from ] and ] in that ''separate'' statistic. ] (]) 13:56, 28 September 2019 (UTC) |
