Shaktawat is a branch of the great Sisodia clan of Rajputs.

The Shaktawats descend from Maharaj Shakti Singh Ji (or Shakta), a son of Udai Singh II and the younger brother of the great Maharana Pratap. Shaktawats are proudly known as "Duna datar, Chauguna Jhunjhar".
