CSD and PROD

It might be a good idea that you start doing a proper WP:BEFORE before nominating. Too many of your nominations are based on faulty arguments. The Banner talk 12:50, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

I do it, but when it comes to foreign languages, it is easy to miss things. If you can rescue articles with sources in Dutch or such, god speed. I am happy if we can rescue articles, but articles that do not show any evidence of notability for years need to be fixed, and if that is not possible, considered for deletion. Again, congrats on any article you rescue. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:47, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, but you are making way too many mistakes. Sometimes just reading the article provides you with a merge target, but still you nominate for destruction. I expect more quality work from an admin, especially after the recent case at AN/I. The Banner talk 18:16, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
Deletion discussion often end in SOFTDELETE (merge), not "destruction".--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:09, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
Seeing the amount of dodgy nominations, you really give me the idea that removal of knowledge is you purpose. I tend to call that destruction. The Banner talk 14:01, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

If you have trouble with foreign subjects and foreign-language source, it might be a better idea to refrain from nominating them. Your prod of De Consularis is another example of a dodgy WP:BEFORE. The Banner talk 10:39, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

Just in the last six weeks, I've "rescued" Tom Hughes and Margo Montgomery, Teacup in a Storm, Bluntman and Chronic, Breathless Mahoney, Tara King, Mike Gambit, Captain Battle, Cathy Gale, Dharma Initiative, Fanny Zilch, Knock-off Nigel, Mother (the Avengers), Oceanic Airlines, Persephone (The Matrix), Ethan Hunt, Purdey (The New Avengers), Scott Robinson and Charlene Mitchell, Steve Andropoulos and Betsy Stewart, Teacup in a Storm, Newton T. Bass, Batarang, Power Sword, Day of the Figurines, Nibbles (Tom and Jerry), Royal Flush Gang, Spike and Tyke (characters), Steve Johnson and Kayla Brady, Stormbringer, Sumuru (character) and Terrible Trio. The only thing that I "rescued" them from was Piotrus' inability to use Google Books and Internet Archive. Piotrus: it is time to step away from Prod and AfD. You are not good at it. -- Toughpigs (talk) 04:10, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Lucky and To Lucky

You failed to notice that they are both mascots of the Hanshin Tigers? That is a suitable merge-option for both mascots. The Banner talk 18:23, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

Not much to merge, but it is always an option, and you are welcome to propose the merge (do ping me if you do so). Right now I am sure we don't need multiple articles about the mascots. Even ja wiki as far as I can tell has a single one. The benefit of a higher visibility AfD is that it can allow us to discuss whether a merge is indeed preferable to having a stand alone article about the mascots. It is a shame merge discussions have such a low visibility compared to deletion ones, sigh. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:08, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

I am not willing to clean up your sloppy nominations. The Banner talk 13:59, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Near (Death Note)

I've posted a few comments on the AfD page re: this literary character. I'd like 30 days to update and improve the article before it's deleted. -- GimmeChoco44 (talk) 10:49, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
