Martha Kay Renfroe (June 5, 1938 – August 20, 2016) was an American writer of mystery and science fiction. She published works as M.K. Wren. She was also an artist with a BFA from University of Oklahoma whose oils and watercolor works were shown in galleries and juried shows in Texas, Oklahoma, and the Northwest, as well as invitational shows including two Big Eight Invitationals at the University of Kansas, the State Capitol in Salem Oregon, and the Oregon Arts Festival.
Renfroe was born in Amarillo, Texas, but resided in Lincoln City, Oregon since 1963 with her partner, artist Ruth Dennis Grover, until health issues urged a move to be closer to family.
Career
Her work included the Conan Flagg Mystery series, the Phoenix Legacy, a space opera trilogy, and A Gift Upon the Shore (1990).
