Image:Ellen Feiss.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ellen Feiss.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 19:26, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

(Please excuse the standard templated warning... if you aren't familiar with why an image that used to be acceptable no longer is, please drop me a line) --Yamla 19:27, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

ArbCom Vote on candidate Samuel Blanning

Hi there. I'm thinking that when you created Misplaced Pages talk:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2006/Vote/Samuel Blanning you might have meant it to go in Misplaced Pages:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2006/Vote/Samuel Blanning. If not, that's cool. If so, I wanted to let you know where it ended up. Thanks for putting yourself forward for ArbCom; I only wish I could've voted for you before your withdrawal. --Ssbohio 02:45, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Stairwaytoheavensucks

Any idea why this guy's block shows up on http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Special%3AIpblocklist&action=search&limit=&ip=Stairwaytoheavensucks but not on http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Special:Log&type=block&page=User:Stairwaytoheavensucks? I'm going to unblock to allow account creation. Let me know if you have a problem with this. User:Zoe|(talk) 23:41, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

New topics

While looking at some old wikipedia pages, I found this cross-namespace redirect that you deleted. Where did it redirect to before help:starting a new page and is there any history worth keeping there? It was a page from 2001. If there is any history that is worth keeping, I think it should be undeleted and moved somewhere like wikipedia:new topics. Graham87 13:00, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Your behavior is silly and counterproductive

You keep deleting images that lack the fair use rationale, even when they are properly tagged, there is no way to get a fully free image, and the reason why they are fair use images is OBVIOUS; namely, movie and videogame covers. To any sensible person, the tags alone should be enough fair use rationale. - Stormwatch 17:15, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

POV pusher?

I see you posted a voted against my ArbCom candidacy describing me as a "unrepentant POV-pusher". Another editor asked for some diffs. I'm interested too. I've always tried to avoid pushing any POV, and would certainly be repentant if I had. It would help me as an editor if you could either provide some diffs or just a description of what POV I've been pushing, at Misplaced Pages talk:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2006/Vote/Will Beback. -Will Beback · · 22:43, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Disambiguation pages

I would appreciate your input on a disambiguation page question, because the whole thing still confuses me..;) There'a proposal on the Magician talk page to Move/rename Magician (disambiguation) to Magician. The editor is comparing it to what was done for magic. Is that the right thing to do? Dreadlocke 21:13, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
