- At least 20 Indian soldiers and an unknown number of Chinese forces have been killed in a clash in Ladakh in the disputed Kashmir region, amid rising tensions between the two countries. Local media reported that the Indian soldiers were "beaten to death", and the Indian army claims no shots were fired. (BBC)
