Hello, I'm Ionmars10. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Destin Sandlin, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Misplaced Pages has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Ionmars10 (talk) 03:51, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
A lengthy welcome
Hi Darth-X-President. Welcome to Misplaced Pages. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Misplaced Pages. I hope you find it useful.
Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Misplaced Pages: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Misplaced Pages by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.
Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Misplaced Pages's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.
If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Misplaced Pages's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Misplaced Pages and the neutrality required in articles.
Some topic areas within Misplaced Pages have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.
If you work from reliable, independent sources, you shouldn't go far wrong. WP:RSP and WP:RSN are helpful in determining if a source is reliable.
I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 17:01, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Misplaced Pages. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:58, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
- You've moved another page, this time Are We Done Yet? to Are We Done Yet? (film). This is an unnecessary disambiguation, and you shouldn't be moving pages like this. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:11, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Maintenance templates
Concerning this edit, please do not change the dates in maintenance templates. Those dates let us know how long the article has been marked as unreferenced, which in your edit is a difference of 10 years. This lets people make a decision on what can be deleted if it's been marked for a longer period. I.e. in this case you marking it as June 2020 makes someone think of that's fine there's time. Whereas the correct date of 10 years ago makes someone think, well if there are no references after 10 years we can just delete the whole thing. So please don't edit maintenance templates unless you're correcting the problem. Canterbury Tail talk 12:18, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
