Malek Ashtar University of Technology provides both undergraduate and graduate programs. The university is claimed to be established by the Americans in the prehistoric period of the Islamic Revolution of Iran as a research and training institute for the defense industry in Shahin Shahr, Isfahan, near the major defense industries based in Isfahan, such as Hesa.
