Welcome!

Hello, Jugwinder20, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits did not conform to Misplaced Pages's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Misplaced Pages articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Misplaced Pages also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  Abecedare (talk) 16:28, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Arya

The term "Arya" is not used in English for the Indo-Aryan languages so please stop adding it there. If you believe it should be added, feel free to explain that on the article's talk page. Thanks! – Uanfala (talk) 17:29, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Kautilya3. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Dogra, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Maurya Empire, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. utcursch | talk 01:46, 1 June 2019 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 22

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bangalore, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Christian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:06, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm VibeScepter. I noticed that you recently removed content from Micromax Informatics without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Khariboli dialect. This violates Misplaced Pages's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. utcursch | talk 15:56, 12 July 2019 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add defamatory content to Misplaced Pages, as you did to Hard Kaur, especially if it involves living persons. Thank you.  samee  converse  16:19, 19 July 2019 (UTC)

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Misplaced Pages, as you did at IndiGo. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Jetstreamer  16:37, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

For the record, regarding the above warning you keep changing the name to ″Gurugram″ when the target article is named ″Gurgaon″.--Jetstreamer  16:41, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Dogra. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 17:12, 8 October 2019 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Misplaced Pages. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from List of people from Haryana. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Misplaced Pages's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Pan-Indianism, here you may be blocked from editing. In more detail: I realize this edit was back in September, and you've been warned since then. Someone really should have caught this before now. As I noted in my revert, the article describes the history of the Pan-Indian movement. It is a North American Indigenous thing, not a global history. As Wikipedians, we are here to document, not create neologisms. - CorbieVreccan 00:45, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Toddy1 (talk) 03:14, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not change Allahabad to Prayagraj in the article on Allahabad. Do not change the name of Allahabad in this article, without discussing it first at the Talk page. There is consensus that the article should use the name Allahabad in accordance with WP:COMMONNAME. This has been explained on the Talk page. If you wish to change the name of this article to Prayagraj (or anything else), please discuss it first at Talk. Toddy1 (talk) 03:14, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

Important notice

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Misplaced Pages's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
