Sarah Natochenny (born September 20, 1987) is an American voice actress, most famous for providing the English dub voice of the main character Ash Ketchum in the Pokémon anime series since 2006's "Battle Frontier" (Generation III).
Career
Natochenny is a native of Forest Hills, Queens in New York City. When she was 12, she participated in the Junior Olympics where she won a bronze medal in rhythmic gymnastics. She has worked with the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute's Young Actors Program, Upright Citizens Brigade and Magnet Theatre.
Natochenny recalled that she was 11 when the Pokémon anime started airing in English. She auditioned and landed the lead role of Ash Ketchum starting with the show's ninth season in 2006, replacing Veronica Taylor.
Natochenny also voices lead character Alicia on the Xbox 360 video game Bullet Witch. She appears in videos on the comedy website CollegeHumor.com. She has played roles in various comedy videos and independent films and recently wrote and edited her own character reel. Her impressions include Angelina Jolie, Lana del Rey, Natalie Portman and Russell Brand.
In 2019, Natochenny was recognized with a SOVAS Award.
