Svetlana has captured numerous medals on the international stage, including gold (4x100m medley) and three silvers (100m butterfly; 200m butterfly; 4x100m mixed medley) at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow. She says her career highlight, so far, was winning silver in the 2017 World Championships (Budapest), in the 4x100m medley.

Svetlana believes, “The most important principle in sports, not only in swimming, is fairness and healthy competition. After all, it is the competition that makes you set new records and achieve great results.”

In January 2013, Svetlana was awarded the sports title "International Master of Sports of Russia". In April 2013, at the Russian Cup, she won gold in the 100-meter and qualified for the World Championship. She won the 100 meters at the Russian Championship, setting a new record for Russia (58.22).

At the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona, Svetlana, as part of the Russian relay four, won bronze in the 4x100m medley relay. In the 50m butterfly, she did not qualify for the final, and over the 100-meter distance she did not reach the semifinals.

On April 14, 2017, she won the Russian 100-meter butterfly swimming championship, setting a national record of 57.17 seconds. She represented Russia at the 2017 World Swimming Championships over this distance and got 7th with 57.24. Over the 200m and 50m butterfly she did not reach the semifinals with the results of 2:09.86 and 26.49. On the last day of the competition, as part of the Russian team, she won the silver medal in the medley relay.

In 2018, at the Russian Championship, she won silver over the 50m butterfly - while Sofya Spodarenko won gold. Over the distances of 100m and 200m butterfly she became a Russian national champion.

In 2020 Svetlana represented the ] in the professional swimming league - ].
