Hello, I'm MrOllie. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Unmanned aerial vehicle, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 14:58, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Electronic waste, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 15:10, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Misplaced Pages, as you did at Airplane, you may be blocked from editing. Template:Z188 HopsonRoad (talk) 18:33, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Your edit to Avian influenza has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Misplaced Pages without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Misplaced Pages. For legal reasons, Misplaced Pages cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Misplaced Pages:Copying text from other sources for more information. GirthSummit (blether) 17:18, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Request reason:
I took the time to read "copying text for other sources". I tried paraphrasing when I edited, but now I see that I was paraphrasing in the wrong way. I should have changed more than just a couple of words here and there. Big mistake on my part. I know I can do better than what I showed before. Please unblock me? I will try my best not to make this mistake again. Many thanks.
Decline reason:
In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Misplaced Pages. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:
- What is copyright?
- How is Misplaced Pages licenced?
- Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Misplaced Pages?
- Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
- How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?
Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 14:31, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You have missed all of WP:FAIRUSE. --Yamla (talk) 11:05, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Yamla:I didn't know I was supposed to read WP:FAIRUSE. I have read it now. I see that short excepts from copyrighted material is also ok to be used only in quotations and with the content is properly attributed to the source or author. I will stick to paraphrasing in a way that doesn't violate guidelines, and attribute with quotations when its necessary. Is there anything else you think I need to be aware of before starting to edit again? Sea Ane (talk) 14:04, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
@Girth Summit: I'm inclined to unblock here, on the basis that Sea Ane has read the policies and made a good faith effort to understand them. As blocking admin, what are your thoughts? --Yamla (talk) 14:30, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- Yamla, I'm glad to see an improved understanding of our copyright policies. I am not opposed to an unblock, but I would also like Sea Ane to read the guidelines on reliable sources carefully though, and to recognise that we represent mainstream scholarship in our articles. Edits like this one, which attributes features of real-world aeroplane design to characters from Hindu scripture, and sourced to the Hindustan Times, are not acceptable. GirthSummit (blether) 15:11, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- Sea Ane, please explain why that particular edit was inappropriate. We seek to ensure you won't make edits like that in the future, so you need to convince us you understand. --Yamla (talk) 15:22, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
