He was involved with over 31 Broadway shows from 1919 to 1954 in one capacity or another.
He started with “The Greenwich Follies” in 1919, which he wrote, produced and directed, which was followed by 5 annual Follies.
He was best known for his staging of Billy Rose’s “Jumbo” in 1935 and his last show, “John Murray Anderson’s Almanac,” in 1953, with Hermione Gingold. He also conceived and staged Leonard Sillman’s "New Faces of 1952” in 1952.
