John T. Reed is a real estate investor and publisher; he is the author of several real-estate investment books. He is based in Alamo, California. He is best known for his extensive critique to Robert Kiyosaki's books and public statements, and recently for his very public disagreements with the real-estate writer Russ Whitney.

Among the books he was written are How to Get Started in Real Estate, How to Do a Delayed Exchange, and Single Family Lease Options. He has also written books on coaching youth sports.
