Title of this article does not conform to MOS:SPACEINITS, which prescribes periods and spaces after initials in personal names unless the subject styles themselves otherwise, so CCH Pounder. Example given is J. R. R. Tolkien.
Is B.B. King an exception? My favorite reference work (Donald Clarke's Penguin Encyclopedia of Popular Music) thinks not, but "B.B." seems rusted on in Misplaced Pages. I'd boldly change it, but would then feel obliged to change all incoming links, and may not live that long. Doug butler (talk) 23:04, 5 September 2023 (UTC)

B.B. King → B. B. King – It is acknowledged that most references to this musician style his name as "BB King" or "B.B. King" but not by such an overwhelming majority as to demand overriding the Manual of Style (MOS:SPACEINITS), which is quite clear on the subject, citing as an example J. R. R. Tolkien. As two examples of the requested style, see Donald ClarkePenguin Encyclopedia of Popular Music 1998 (Second edition), and the interpretive sign "A Guitar Named Lucille" (Commons file /Twist AR BB king Marker 1.jpg) Doug butler (talk) 16:10, 8 September 2023 (UTC) Doug butler (talk) 16:09, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
