Gaia BH3 (also known as BH3 for short), is a black hole located in the Milky Way galaxy. It was discovered by the European Space Agency on 16 April, 2024. It is the largest black hole ever recorded in the Milky Way. The black hole is located roughly 2,000 light years away and is the second-closest known black hole to Earth.
