Porsche is a German automobile maker. The historical origins came from the Volkswagen industry, and today it is owned by the VAG group. The company was founded in 1948 by Ferry Porsche, son of the Ferdinand Porsche who created the first Volkswagen. The company is located in Zuffenhausen in the outskirts of Stuttgart.

Some of the production is outsourced, to Valmet in Finland.
