Ali Dahir Eid, born in 1972 in Abudwak, Galgaduud province, Somalia, is a Somali politician who served as the Vice President of Galmudug, a federal member state in central Somalia. He was elected to this position on February 2, 2020, alongside President Ahmed Abdi Karie, and served until February 2025.

Eid hails from the Marehan sub-clan of the Darod clan. During his tenure, he was actively involved in various initiatives aimed at improving the region's humanitarian situation and strengthening international relations. Notably, in September 2024, he met with the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Mawlid, to discuss enhancing cooperation in sectors such as education, livestock export, and water development.

In December 2024, Eid successfully concluded the Country Humanitarian Forum held in Dhusamareb, focusing on addressing the region's growing humanitarian needs. He also hosted a farewell dinner at the presidential palace for delegates participating in the forum, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in tackling humanitarian challenges.

Eid's leadership was marked by efforts to disarm and integrate local clan militias into the state security forces and to promote development projects such as the construction of the Hobyo port. His tenure contributed to the stabilization and development of Galmudug during a critical period in Somalia's federalization process.
