Early life and education
Yuri Albitsky was born on 24 August 1931 in Yegoryevsk, Moscow Oblast. He graduated from the Ryazan Art School in 1953 and the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in 1959. His mentors included F.S. Bogorodsky and Y.I. Pimenov. His diploma work consisted of sketches and storyboards for the film "Continuation of the Legend". Yuri Albitsky died on 14 November 1996.
Career
Albitsky worked as a film artist and was involved in easel painting and graphics. He participated in numerous exhibitions, including republican, all-Union, international, and foreign exhibitions starting from 1959. He worked at the "Belarusfilm" studio, where he contributed to several notable films, including:

- "I'm Going to Search" (1966)
- "Remember This Day" (1967)
