"Out of Nowhere" was the first single released by Gloria Estefan, but two overall on her third compilation album Greatest Hits Vol. II. The single was the only released commercially of the compilation.


Song History

This song was the first single released commercially for the Estefan third compilation album, but really it wasn't a successful album on the charts due its stronger dance-club oriented roots, but was a smash hits on the dance charts making it another Top Ten for Gloria Estefan at the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.

Due it success at the dance charts was nominated to several dance awards: such as a Grammy Music Award for "Best Dance Recording" but lost out to Janet Jackson hit, "All for You". And was also nominated for two International Latin Billboard Music Awards for "Latin Dance Club Play Track of the Year" and "Latin Dance Maxi-Single of the Year", however she didn't won.
