Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! -- Graham ☺ | Talk 19:08, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Ludwig Wittgenstein spam
Hi Andrew, granted the http://www.wittgenstein-portal.com plausibly has some value, but the http://wittgenstein.pagina.nl link I'm quite sure is spam. I suggest you look at the anon's talk page and edit history - pagina.nl seems to be a link farm they are running. Misplaced Pages doesn't encourage external links, except when they are particularly informative or germain to the topic. See also Misplaced Pages:spam and WikiSpam. You might then reconsider whether the links are desirable. -- Solipsist 21:44, 29 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Nonsense about Russell
I am glad you got rid of the nonsense about Wales that has appeared before. Russell, of course, lived in Wales for a time, but he was most definitely a son of England, as were generations of Russells before him. Best... icut4u
Miles Davis
Looks like you've done much to improve the Miles Davis article. I'd like to point out two things, though: headings should be in lower case (Misplaced Pages:Manual of Style (headings)), and you needn't disambiguate album names if there's no ambiguity, e.g. it could probably just be Miles in the Sky, instead of Miles in the Sky (album).--Ferdinand Pienaar 20:31, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Brummie
Andrew, have you put the dispute procedure into action yet? The situation is ridiculous. Nick is strangling the development of the article, and serious linguists aren't going to post anything when it's instantly reverted. 195.92.67.67 06:00, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
