Domaine Chandon, established in 1973 by Moët et Chandon, was the first French-owned sparkling winery located in California's Napa Valley. The winery has vineyards located in several Napa Valley appellations including Carneros, Mt. Veeder and Yountville (where the winey is located), Domaine Chandon crafts a portfolio of sparkling and still wines made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, the traditional grapes used in the production of Champagne. The winery hosts many thousands of guests annually who visit to tour, taste, and enjoy world-class fine dining at the winery's étoile Restaurant; the only fine dining establishment located within a working winery in Napa Valley. Winemakers and chefs work in partnership to create a wine and food experience which is rated among the finest culinary experiences in America.
