Nat Turner was a slave whose rebellion was the bloodiest ever in the United States against white slave owners. Born October 2, 1800 and hanged on November 11, 1831 in Jerusalem, Virginia.

Turner is viewed favorably by many in what would later become known as the Black Power Movement.
