Brajamohan College (Bengali: ব্রজ্রমোহন কলেজ) often known as B M college, is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Bangladesh. It is located in Barisal town in South-Western Bangladesh.

History

The college was established in 1884 as a school. Aswini Kumar Dutta, a philanthropist, established Braja Mohan School, named after his father, Braja Mohan Dutta. In 1889, it was upgraded to a college, which offered FA classes. Finally, the college was further elevated to a full-fledged Degree college in 1898. On July 1, 1965, the college was nationalized, and later in 1993, it was upgraded to University College status.
