He later enjoyed a solo career as a performer of Contemporary Christian Music. His daughter, Alisa Childers (nee Girard) was a member of the Christian pop trio ZOEgirl. In October 2006, Mr. Girard participated in The Beginnings Concert *http://www.thebeginningsconcert.com The Beginnings Concert.
