Re: The only time I've ever seen the featured get a protect is when it's taking an absolutely massive pounding
I prefer to block vandals attacking the featured articles than protecting it. That would give vandals only two chances of attack, the first one to get a {{bv-n}} tag, the second to get blocked. Based on that, unless editors are attacking persons (libel information being added, contact information being included, etc), I think we can handle any article being open for editing (as you say, there are as many users watching it as those vandalizing it). -- ReyBrujo 04:08, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Franklin Turtle.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Franklin Turtle.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
