Notability of Josephine Ho
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Josephine Ho, by another Misplaced Pages user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Josephine Ho seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Josephine Ho, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. If Ms. Ho is "known by millions" as you assert, then there should be plenty of coverage on her from the press and other reliable sources. If you can cite those and explain in more detail why she is notable, then there won't be any danger of the article being deleted if you recreate it. Let me know if you have any further concerns. A translate tag is not a PROD or AFD tag. A translate tag appearing on an article doesn't mean it will be deleted (it's just recommending that people come and translate the article from Chinese to English), and WP:DRV is not an outlet for unnecessary frustration stemming from this. Please don't do it again. --Coredesat 00:42, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- I added the translation tag, and I fear once I remove it, the deletion hungry masses will feed on the article. Jidanni 00:53, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well, that's for then; you should assume good faith for now. From what I can see there's no reason to be making accusations against the community. You put the article on DRV without reason, the article had neither been tagged for deletion, nor deleted. DRV isn't for declaring that you're creating an article and warning people not to delete it (which is not allowed, even for an article about yourself). --Coredesat 02:03, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
