Travis Tritt is an American country music artist.

He was born James Travis Tritt on February 9, 1963 in Marrietta, Georgia to James and Gwen Tritt. He has one sister named Trisha.

At age 3, he received his first guitar from his father. Since then, he's taught himself to play and has grown into one of country music's finest musicians and vocalists.

By the age of 22, he had been through two divorces and had committed himself entirely to his music career.

With the release of his 1989 album Country Club, Tritt gained phenomenal acclaim from the industry. Nevertheless, the so-called critics of country music didn't seem to like his style.

Still, Tritt exhibits a high level of creativity through his gut-wrenching love ballads to his energy rockin' footstompers.

This is also seen in his latest album titled My Honky Tonky History.

Travis Tritt has collaborated with many other country singers, including Marty Stuart.
