A tag has been placed on on your user page, User:Germahughes, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Misplaced Pages to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam and the guidelines on user pages.
If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page in question and leave a note on this page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 04:15, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
The Union Theatre is a closed theatre and is not therefore in a position to be advertised. This is a page of Peterborough, Ontario social history. The theatre ran from 1989 - 1996 and does no longer exist. The theatre is noteworthy for its history as well as for its format (collective). It has been referenced in The Rover edited by Anne Russell (Broadview Literary Texts: Peterborough, Canada, May, 1994) as one of only a few theatres in the 20th century to mount Aphra Behn's play. This link will be included in any updated edit.
