There are those among the sceitific and atheistic community, as well as those among religious communities, who regard religion , or in some cases, other religions, as evidance of schitzophrenia or other mental illness, one example might be the founder of the LDS faith Joeseph smith junior, who is said to have had visions, or the founde of the islamic faith, muhamet, who had a vision of an angel. or any of the many people who are called phrophets by religous elievers. Religous followers typically attribute this view to either a lack of understanding or a lack of faith, on the part of the scheptic.
