Zelge Fans is the official fanclub of the Swedish football (soccer) team Assyriska Föreningen. It was started 1993 by a group of Assyriska supporters in Södertälje. At first the fanclub was called Neshre which means eagle (or eagles) in Assyrian. Three months later, the club changed its name to Zelge Fans. The word Zelge means "sunbeams". This refers to the beams in the Assyrian flag. Most of the members are Assyrians (suryoye) but Zelge fanclub has also Swedish members.
