Morda is a village on the outskirts of the town of Oswestry, Shropshire, England, located on the border of England and Wales.

Inhabitants of Morda are officially known as Mordonians.

It is named after the River Morda, which, with the River Tanat, is one of the first major tributaries joining the River Severn as it wends it's way from it's birth place on Plynlimon, Mid Wales to the Bristol Channel.

Morda gained notoriety for its gang presence in post war Britain in the late 40s. It wasn't until the Kray Twins opened The Drill nightclub in the early 50s that Morda received its reputation,

The Kray Twins, with the help of Jack "The Hat" McVitie, started up a series of protection rackets but were eventually muscled out due to the ever increasing police presence and the mass immigration of the Chinese Triads. The Triads controlled all of the criminal activity in Morda. However the rival factions regularly fought and knife fights spilled into the streets. In 1974 Morda Social Club was opened. On many occasion the rich and famous were spotted openly taking drugs here.

In the early 80s the Yardies moved from Brixton and started dealing drugs in the near by village of Llanymynech. The Triads mistakenly regarded them as too unorganized to pose any threat. However, due to the Yardies' volatility and lack of restraint when using violence the Triads were dispersed. Concluding with a gun fight outside The Drill ending when a grenade went off in Morda Post Office where Triad gang members were hiding.
