Hello there! I am contacting you as I found you on the LOCE Members list. Back in december I submitted a request for the article Slipknot (band) to be copyeditted. Since which time one user has said that they would help, however they have since not responded. So I was wondering if I could make a personal request for you to copyedit the article? I would greatly appreciate it because I feel the information is of FA status but I am not the best of writers, which is clear. Thanks in advance for any help you may give. WP:FICT
It was a pleasure to see you contributing to WP:WIAGA again recently. I noticed your contributions a year ago when I was something of a newbie!
I've added a comment to WP:FICT in the hope that a good guideline can be pulled out of the recent period of intensive editing and discussion. I hope we can work together on this, as even though we've not interacted much, my impression is that we see eye-to-eye on a number of issues. Geometry guy20:54, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Re: editor review
Thanks for the compliments dude. Watch for my next RfA, it'll be a fun time (hopefully - more like grueling I'm sure). Absolutely correct about my taste in music too, which leads me to inform you that Neil Peart (nominated by yours truly) is currently up for FAC. I still have some work to do apparently. Yeah, tackling those objections would be awesome, some of them I disagree with and others I'm not quite sure how to address. I'm going to work on Final Fantasy XI tonight, but I've only done a little thus far with FFV. Thanks for the help in advance :) Judgesurreal777 (talk) 17:29, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Yay! FFXI passed FA, now we just have to get FFV done. I think it needs a bunch more references, but where to get them from I'm not sure, good thing you are on this one too :) Judgesurreal777 (talk) 04:16, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Dear Tyler, thank you for taking part in my RfB. As you may know, it was not passed by bureaucrats. I would, however, like to thank you for taking the time to voice your support, despite concerns cited by the opposition. Although RfA/B isn't really about a person, but more about the community, I was deeply touched and honoured by the outpouring of support and interest in the discussion. I can only hope that you don't feel your opinion was not considered enough - bureaucrats have to give everyone's thoughts weight. I also hope that the results of this RfB lead to some change in the way we approach RfBs, and some thought about whether long-entrenched standards are a good thing in our growing and increasingly heterogenous community. I remain eager to serve you as an administrator and as an editor. If at any point you see something problematic in my actions, please do not hesitate to call me out. ~ Riana ⁂12:19, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Final Fantasy VII has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. FightingStreet (talk) 13:37, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
I am really sorry to hear that you are leaving us. You have been an invaluable contributor here on Misplaced Pages. I will be staying here to help out the Final Fantasy articles. :) Regards, GregJonesII17:02, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:XenoLogo.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 03:41, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
So what/how are you doing?
I'm a little confused as to what you're doing these days. Are you retired (or retiring) or are you active? And you say you've been in an accident: everything still attached I hope? -- Sabre (talk) 08:43, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Cutting a few articles from our jurisdiction that aren't intimately Final Fantasy related
Merging a bunch of articles that have no notability
Creating a subproject at wikiproject video games to deal with the people who create video games, as they get no love from most video game wikiprojects
Build up the remaining articles to GA status, and have everyone look at us in awe. Thoughts? My biggest issue will be to sell it to the others who remain at the project. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 14:54, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
User Ageslimit needs to be banned (again)
Hey. It seems that in the May of last year, you blocked this guy Ageslimit for a well-rounded dose of vandalism. Well he's back now, and spent Apr 19th spamming a good deal. And what's worse is that he's been using the edit comment box for advertising, which I don't think can be changed by normal users. Pls ban this guy, he sickens me and more than certainly deserves it.
Thnx... Abhishekbh (talk) 07:50, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Reliable Source
Hello Deckiller. I've tracked you down because I need help. I know zero about Misplaced Pages's policies regarding reliable sources and have no desire spending hours shifting through pages of policies mumbo-jumbo to solve my problem. Basically, I'm wondering if the site "thelostworlds.net" would be a reliable citation for this page: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. I have no idea if it is or not and I just decided to bring it to an Admin. The Clawed One (talk) 18:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello, I am contacting you because you're a member of the League of Copyeditors. Would you be interested in taking a look at Highlander: The Series (season 1) which is currently a Featured List Candidate ? The quality of the prose is the only remaining objection to its promotion and I would really appreciate your help. Have a nice day, Rosenknospe (talk) 12:59, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Could you please semi-protect this page? We have a whole mess of IP's (probably just one sock-puppeting, actually, since they all say the same thing and act like they were the same person) who continue to insert unverified info, and remove sourced info. Not even Mr. Lister'sKoromon survived intact.19:21, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
<Idle chatter>. I accidentally found User:Deckiller/music and was very happy to see Neil Peart and Bill Bruford on the drummers list. I'd also agree with Geddy Lee as a bassist, but Alex Lifeson is not a standout as are his bandmates... I'd argue with your over-rated bands, adding Journey (who held the record for decades) but the #1 all-time most over-rated, (recently surpassing Journey) would be Nirvana. I'd remove Led Zeppelin, since of course they are easily the best band ever. :-) As for under-rated bands, you forgot Queen. The Police are not under-rated; they were extremely big in their day and, I suspect, still garner respect... Friends of mine have mentioned Djam Karet in this context, but I have never heard their stuff.</Idle chatter> Ling.Nut (talk) 04:33, 26 May 2008 (UTC)">

Hi Tyler—Just surveying monthly diffs for the update, and noticed massive movement at . I wonder whether you could bullet for me the main substantive changes in the criteria. Also, I can't find the page to view the history of the instructions. TONY(talk)13:20, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
