Significance
This trademark would otherwise not warrant mention but for the notoriety it has recently received in major online news publications. According to a article in TechCrunch on December 25, 2009, the iSlate trademark is name of the upcoming Apple Inc., Tablet product, rumored to be coming out in January 2010. Furthermore, according to the MacRumors website, the person who signed on the U.S. federal trademark is likely a Senior Trademark Specialist working for Apple Computer. In addition, evidence exists that the iSlate.com domain name was once owned by Apple, Inc.
